LANENT created a course about E-Learning for nuclear education and training in Chile

The Regional Course on E-Learning for Latin-American educators of nuclear technology, which combined virtual learning and face-to-face learning, took place with the use of LANENT’s Virtual Campus. Led by Monica Sbaffoni, the RLA0048 project Technical Officer, a group of nuclear professionals and LANENT’s “Materials and Pedagogical and Technological Support” group were in charge of the course, which was financially supported by the IAEA.

The course was planned and implemented in two successive phase: the first, which consisted of an online pre-training phase during the month of October, followed by a face-to-face training phase from the 2nd to the 6th of November located in the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (UMCE), in Santiago de Chile.

The face-to-face stage was organized by the UMCE, with support from the Chilean Nuclear Energy Commission (CCHEN). The participants included professionals from Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru and Chile – 18 in the first part (virtual) and 11 in the second part (face-to-face).
